Leadership is one of those things they don't teach you in life, so I find interesting to study.
Basically, democracy opens leaders up to be torn apart and fail.
Being a hardass may aggravate some people, but at the end of the day, people will say "he really had control of the situation." It's so opposite to the American way but it's something to examine.
